woda_studio creates contemporary, sustainable spaces rooted in context and guided by an informed design process. Founded by Ioannis Kanakakis in 2020, the studio builds on more than 15 years of UK and international experience. Ioannis has led award-winning projects across residential, cultural, and commercial sectors, contributing to both large-scale developments and finely crafted bespoke designs. The studio’s work spans a broad spectrum, from custom furniture to major infrastructure, unified by a commitment to clarity, functionality, and enduring elegance.

Favorite piece of furniture

It’s difficult to pinpoint a single favourite piece of furniture as there are so many, each belonging to its own context. But one I’ve always admired is the Tulip Table by Eero Saarinen. I love its simplicity and balance, the way the marble top seems to float, the precision of its edge detail, and the hidden fixings that make the composition feel effortless. It’s timeless, organic in material yet sharply executed, a piece that quietly commands its space.
