What is Enky and Enky Invest?

Enky is a subscription-based furniture solution for professionals — including offices, restaurants, hotels, and more. In practice, we purchase high-end furniture, whether new or vintage, and rent it out to businesses. At the end of each rental contract, we refurbish the furniture and lease it to a new client, following a circular economy model.

Enky Invest is our investment platform, designed to finance our furniture stock. Each project listed on the platform corresponds to a specific rental initiative within Enky’s core business.

By investing in a project on Enky Invest, investors (like you) finance part of the furniture and, in return, receive a share of the rental income generated by that project. Enky handles the sourcing of the furniture as well as the management of tenant clients.

What kind of furniture is elegible for leaseback?

We accept most types of high-quality furniture, from desks and chairs to lounge pieces and beds, as long as it’s in good condition and meets quality criteria. We’ll assess this during the valuation.

Why does Enky work with architects?

Because great spaces start with great design. We bring the furniture expertise, sourcing, and logistics, while architects bring vision and creativity. Together, we deliver sustainable projects with minimal hassle for the client.

What type of investment does Enky Invest offer?

When you invest, you buy bonds (unit value €1) linked to the rental income from a specific furniture project. There are no fees.

The bonds are recorded, registered and numbered in the account of the issuer.

You do not own the furniture but hold a financial right proportional to your investment, linked to the rental income. The investment is “direct” because Enky owns the furniture.

How much cash can I actually get back?

Typically, you can recover up to 90% of your furniture’s original value, depending on quality, brand, condition, and volume.

Who can join the Enky designers community?

Any professional architect or interior designer who shares our commitment to responsible, circular design

Do you become the owner of the furniture when investing?

No. By subscribing to the bonds issued by Enky, you hold a financial instrument that entitles you to a share of the income generated by our projects.

You do not become the legal owner of the furniture, but you benefit from its usufruct (right of use and right to receive income).

The subscription form and the bond agreement specify your rights. The ownership of bondholders is established through account registration.

Do I need to move or reinstall anything?

Not at all. The furniture stays exactly where it is, there’s no disassembly, no transport, and no interruption to your daily operations.

What are the benefits of joining?

- Access to client projects via Enky.

- Support for furniture sourcing, delivery, and installation.

- Visibility on our platform.

- Freedom: you choose which projects to accept.

What can I compare an Enky investment to?

Enky Invest operates like a fractional real estate platform, but without the risks of the real estate sector.

- You co-finance an asset and receive a share of the rental income. But here, it’s about durable furniture rented to businesses (offices, hotels, restaurants), with no permit requirements, no renovation work, and no speculative risks.

- Furniture is an essential work tool for our clients, so the risk of default is negligible compared to real estate.

- Furniture assets appreciate in value: we only select pieces that can be refurbished and used for many years. With rising raw material prices and inflation, the value of these assets tends to remain stable, or even increase.

How long is the lease period?

You choose. We offer flexible terms typically ranging from 12 to 72 months depending on your needs.

Is it free to join?

Yes, joining is completely free.

Why should I invest via Enky?

By investing with Enky, you combine financial performance with a responsible business model:

Attractive return: between 7–9% annually, paid monthly

Capital protection: multiple layers of protection, even in the event of Enky’s default

Sustainable and transparent: you directly finance the circular economy of furniture

What happens at the end of the lease ?

You’ll have several options: extend the lease, return the furniture, or purchase it at a reduced cost.

How do I apply?

Fill out the online form. Our team will review your profile and get in touch to explore potential collaborations.

Hoe genereert u 7–9% rendement?

Who owns the furniture once I sign the leaseback?

Enky becomes the legal owner, and you lease it back through fixed monthly payments. This allows you to move the cost from your balance sheet to your operating expenses.

What kind of projects will I work on?

From offices and coworking spaces to hotels, restaurants, and real estate staging. Projects range from small refreshes to large-scale fit-outs.

How does investing work?

1. Furnishing – We provide the furniture to our clients on a subscription basis.

2. Publication – The project is published on Enky Invest.

3. Selection – You choose the project, the amount, the rate, and the duration. Your investment finances the project’s furniture.

4. Monitoring – You manage and track your return via the investor dashboard.

What about maintenance or replacements?

We handle it. If anything breaks or needs upgrading during your lease, we’ll repair or replace it, no extra admin on your side.

Can I bring my own client to Enky?

Yes. You can use our furniture sourcing, subscription, and logistics services for your own clients.

Is your activity regulated?

Yes. Enky Finance and Assets SA issues bond securities to the public for up to €8M/year under French law (Monetary and Financial Code, Article L411-2) and has filed a Key Information Document (Document d’Information Synthétique) with the AMF.

Payments are handled by Revolut, authorised by the ACPR (registered under number 917 420 077). The Enky Invest management team holds AMF certification.

What is the minimum amount for furniture leaseback?

As long as the total value of the furniture is over $10,000, our leaseback solution is open to businesses of all sizes.

Will Enky choose the projects for me?

We match you to projects based on your expertise, location, and availability — but you always decide whether to accept.

Do I qualify to be an investor?

Yes — open to individuals and professionals. The minimum investment is $500.

What's the process to get started ?

Just book a free consultation. We’ll assess your furniture, provide a quote, and if you accept, you’ll receive funds shortly after and the lease begins.

What are the different investment sectors?

- Hospitality – Hotels, resorts, hospitality projects

- Living – Residential, commercial, mixed-use properties

- Office – Offices and commercial spaces

The sector does not affect guarantees or returns.

Why choose Enky instead of buying furniture?

Buying means a big upfront cost, limited flexibility, and waste when you need to change. With Enky, you:

- Keep your cash flow for what matters most.

- Adapt your furniture anytime as your business evolves.

- Reduce your tax bill — monthly fees are deductible.

- Make a sustainable choice with furniture that’s reused and refurbished, not thrown away.

What are the different types of investment projects?

Subscription – Furniture rental to a company, without a purchase option; the investment is backed by the stock and the rental contract; the return comes from the purchase margin and the rents.

Leasing – Furniture rental to a company with a purchase option; the investment is backed by the rental contract; the return comes from the purchase margin and the rents.

Furniture stock – Advance purchase of new or second-hand furniture with a better margin; the investment is backed by the stock; the return comes from the additional margin.

All projects benefit from our capital protection mechanisms and offer the same return.

How does Enky change the way companies furnish their spaces?

We combine subscription-based furniture, circular buying, and an investment platform.

You get high-end, adaptable furniture without heavy investment, plus the option to buy or sell back. Every piece is refurbished and used again, cutting waste and extending its lifespan.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Bank transfer, processed securely via Enky Invest. SEPA Direct Debit is being finalised and will be available soon.

Where do you deliver?

Anywhere in Europe. Have a project outside Europe? Let’s talk — we can often make it happen.

Are there any fees?

No entry fees or hidden charges. Enky earns revenue solely from its business clients.

What is the delivery time?

Delivery time ranges from 2 to 8 weeks, depending on your order and the timelines from our brand partners.

- Second-hand and vintage items: ready within 2 weeks.

- New items: crafted to order for sustainability reasons, typically delivered within 6 to 8 weeks.

What is the minimum investment period?

12 months for most projects, or 3–6 months for investments from $20,000. Longer terms may offer higher returns.

What is the minimum amount to invest?

The minimum amount required to start investing is $500.

How do you choose your suppliers?

Only European brands with a track record in:

- Durability and repairability.

- Sustainable manufacturing.

- High-quality, timeless design.

Is my personal information secured?

Yes – handled confidentially and in full compliance with legal requirements.

What’s Enky’s environmental impact?

We fight “fast furniture” waste — over 11 million tonnes per year — by:

- Renting instead of owning.

- Refurbishing instead of throwing away.

- Partnering only with responsible European suppliers.

- Giving every piece a second life, again and again.

What happens to my money if the funding goal is not reached?

Projects remain open until the goal is met, usually within a few hours.

What makes furniture “Enky-approved”?

We select pieces that:

- Are built to last and easy to refurbish.

- Have a style that works in multiple settings.

- Meet strict EU safety and environmental standards.

What is the risk of investing with Enky?

Unlike crowdfunding platforms, Enky bears 100% of the project risk.

If a tenant defaults, we find a new one without interrupting interest payments — or we reimburse your capital.

In the event of Enky’s default, two security mechanisms similar to a trust arrangement are in place to protect investors’ capital.

Investing carries a risk of capital loss. Learn more.

Can I mix subscription and purchase in one project?

Absolutely. We tailor every project to match your needs and constraints. You can combine subscription-based furniture with purchased items in the same space — whether to meet budget targets, ownership preferences, or specific functional requirements. Our goal is to design a solution that works perfectly for your business, both operationally and financially.

Should I diversify across projects?

It’s not necessary: the risk is already pooled across all our projects since we are the sole owner of 100% of the projects published. And unlike traditional crowdfunding, we do not transfer project risk to our investors.

Whether you invest in one or several projects, the risk level remains the same — that of Enky’s potential default — and it is mitigated by our capital protection mechanisms.

https://www.enky.com/en-gb/faq/What-happens-if-Enky-fails--1755259744

Who are your clients ?

We work with all types of professional spaces: offices, hotels, restaurants, retail stores, coworking hubs, healthcare facilities, and more. Our solutions fit both new projects and refurbishments or layout updates.

How do you protect against client default?

Our business model and the nature of our assets allow us to assume this risk.

- Defaults are rare: furniture is not a budget adjustment variable.

- In case of default, we can relocate the furniture to another client within a few weeks, without interrupting interest payments: the furniture is standardized, mobile, and interchangeable.

- The high margins generated allow us to absorb these potential defaults: we select high-end furniture, purchased at wholesale prices (around 30% of market value) and resold at full price (driven by rising raw material costs, inflation, and refurbishment).

What type of furniture can you find at Enky?

New, second-hand, or vintage — over 40 European brands, more than 1 million references, and a variety of styles to suit all needs.

What happens if Enky fails?

'Since Enky assumes all project-related risk, your only exposure is the potential default of Enky itself.

To protect you in such a scenario, we have two strong legal mechanisms in place — comparable to a trust structure — providing:

- asset segregation,

- direct collateral through the rental contracts and the financed furniture,

investors’ priority rights.

Details of the two security mechanisms:

1) Pledge of rental income – The lease contracts signed with client companies are pledged for the benefit of investors.

In the event of Enky’s default, 100% of the remaining rental income is paid directly to them.

2) Furniture collateral – The financed furniture serves as security.

Once the rents have been collected, the furniture becomes the property of the investors, who can then sell it.

These two guarantees are further strengthened by a 30% safety margin on the underlying assets, which are legally ring-fenced from Enky’s own assets and ensure investors’ priority repayment.'
